Phobos and Deimos are the 2 satelites of Mars discovered in 1877 by the American astronomer, Asaph Hall. Deimos is the smaller satelite and further away from the planet. Deimos comes from Greek, meaning "dread." He is twin to Phobos and is the son of Ares and Aphrodite.
