Light Elemental Magic Accuracy +10

Is this only for the avatar called Light Elemental.

No, anonymous person. It has no effect on summoned pets. You should look up various other gear that says "*Element* Elemental Accuracy +#". Rule of thumb on situation specific items is [Trigger: Effect/Bonus], such as Karura Hachigane's bonus being Garuda only, or all the Assault/Besieged items, or all the negative status effect boost items, or numerous other examples. Regardless of trigger, the bonus is always denoted by a colon as a separator. This item specifically reduces resist rates of Divine-type magics and offensive Cures, as well as Dia or any other light-element magic I've forgotten. Also, I don't really see "Light Elemental: Magic Accuracy +10" as an altogether useful item, since they are incredibly expensive to maintain, are unaffected by most perpetuation reduction items, and are WHM who prefer light-element debuffs and buffs. For the original question, items like Nimbus Doublet and Duende Cotehardie specify "Light Spirit" and "Dark Spirit", so no. Regarding InfamousDS' claim that "most perpetuation reduction items" don't affect elemental spirits, any unspecified "Avatar perpetuation cost -X" item will also reduce perpetuation for spirits (i.e., Caller's Doublet +1, but not Karura Hachigane). They do cost more than avatars and are generally not considered a reliable source of damage, so they are still not generally used even when the perp cost can minimized or even negated. On the other hand, the SMN receives zero enmity from nukes committed by the spirit since BPR is not used. --Mnakal 10:14, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
