Duration increase?[]
Does anyone know how much the ride time is increased? Also, does it stack? I see that's it ex, maybe you can possibly dual wield two of them to make the effect longer. Petco 17:55, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
- Not really any way to know for sure how much time is increased til somebody with the wand reports how much more time they had in addition to the regular time. And Dual Wield isn't feasible seeing how it's only obtainable once in a special event(s) that have since past. And yes it would stack with the other Chocobo Gear. - It was from the Adventurer Appreciation Campaign, right? (read: FFXI anniversary celebration.) That's coming up very soon, I think - in the early part of May. So people might be able to get another and test it out if they have similar prizes this year. No guarantees, of course, but something to watch for. As a side note, I have one from the FFXI Fan Fest, but when I tested it while riding the chocobo I bred, it didn't seem to affect riding time. - Raised Chocobo do not have the same duration as a rental, it's dependent on stats, not sure which ones. --Charitwo 12:14, 18 April 2007 (EDT)
- Of course I know that. ;P I wanted to test how long my raised chocobo would last (it was my first one, so only 17 minutes). And then, I realized I had my chocobo wand with me, so I tested again with the wand on. Again, 17 minutes. As a side note, I believe endurance is the stat that affects riding time. --Seyrr 12:16, 18 April 2007 (EDT)
- I believe it may be possible to obtain two chocobo wands. By giving it to the event storage NPC, you may be able to obtain another wand. Items stored in the event storage NPC can be obtained again even if it's "Rare". I tested it by keeping my wooden katana in the storage npc, then getting another one from the moogle in the Festival of Swords event.Petco 06:11, 12 May 2007 (CDT)
- Technically you should be able to obtain as many as you want, as it is only EX but not Rare. It would not require to store it at an event storer npc. Not sure if you can obtain multiples per event but possibly one each separate event. --Wayka 05:51, 16 May 2007 (CDT)
