Snow Ring provides on average of .05% damage over omega ring. This was tested on Puddings. Some don't feel the need to use Snow ring once they get the Omega Ring.

Did I miss something? Why wouldn't you want more damage, even if it is 0.05% (I find difficult to believe) on puddings where the +M.acc won't do anything because you've hit the cap? This ring is for nuking sky guards or Fafnir, not for puddings... --Aeolus 04:02, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Well its best to look at it like this. 2 MACC = 1INT so:

Snow Ring has INT +5 = 10 MACC

Omega Ring has INT +3 = 6 MACC + 3 MACC = 9 MACC

So what ya left with is:

Snow Ring INT +5 MACC +10

Omega Ring INT +3 MACC +9

Going by that formula Snow Ring hands down is better as far as Nuking is concerned which as a BLM should be all that matters. Omega does offer MND +3 as well which wll add to your Stoneskin. So its really up to the individual if they wish to take a tiny penalty for that extra potency on Stoneskin. If im wrong with my workings at all in any place do let me know but as far as my workings seem, this is accurate. --Chaosprime 22:49, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

This seems backwards, I was under the impression 2 INT = 1 MACC --Neg 02:22, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

you are correct, 2int = 1macc. using the correct formula Snow = 2-3 MACC (depending on your current int, MACC isn't rounded) Omega = 1-2 MACC + 3MACC = 4-5MACC

so the omega ring offers more macc, possibly double. most likely what is happening against puddings is that macc is capped, so the 2 extra int has a larger impact on damage than the extra MACC.
